Organisers of V Festival – sponsored by Virgin Mobile, continue to
expand their ever growing line-up and this time it’s Natasha
Bedingfield and K-OS who’ve been added to the bill. They’ll be
performing at the sold out festival on the weekend of 20th and 21st
August at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire
along side 60 other brilliant acts.
V Festival Director, Bob Angus comments:
“K-OS will blow rap fans away on the JJP/ Puma stage – he’s really
one to watch and we’re chuffed he’s playing at V. Along with
Natasha, we’re confident they will put on fantastic live shows and
bring something different to V for all fans.”
Natasha Bedingfield, born in London in 1981 to a musically
influenced family, wrote her first song at just 12 years old. In
2003 she was signed and has since released hit after hit, had four
Brit nominations and an entry in the Guiness Book of Records.
Described as a natural, fresh and honest Natasha’s approach to
singing and song writing is a winning combination. Her debut album
‘Unwritten’ went straight into number 1 and has topped the charts
globally.
K-OS, the Toronto based MC and vocalist is about to take the rap
world by storm with his clever rhyming skills and keen sense of
musicianship. He’s worked with the likes of Chemical Brothers, won
International Album of the Year at The Source Awards 2003 and even
wrote and produced his Joyful Rebellion album.

A brief history of 10 years of V…
The very first V festival was held in 1996 and was the only event of
its kind to be staged at two sites over the same weekend where the
artists swap venues overnight. Previous headliners have included The
Strokes, Muse, Dido and Pixies (last year), Coldplay and Red Hot
Chilli Peppers (2003), Manic Street Preachers and Suede (1999),
Prodigy and Blur (1997) and featured acts such as Travis, The Verve,
James Brown, Iggy Pop, Macy Gray, Moby, Faithless and Kylie... The
festival boasts the cream of the music crop every year and
organisers are pulling out all the stops to celebrate a decade of V!
